Vicar
of Stiffkey is buried in the
churchyard. His downfall came when he
was defrocked in 1932 after devoting his
life to helping London stage girls but
he was held in high regard with local
people and remained very popular.
However he had to leave the area and
joined the circus. He died shortly after
being mauled by a lion. |
